Two fire engines from Haslingden and Rawtenstall attended a vehicle fire on A56, Rising Bridge, Accrington. The incident involved one vehicle that was well alight on the carriageway when crews arrived. Firefighters used one breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for around forty minutes.
