Caller stated that a van and car were on fire on the roadway, Lancaster Drive, Clayton-le-Moors. Firefighters from Hyndburn attended and upon attendance found both vehicles were well alight. They extinguished the fire using two hose reels and also some lighting equipment, holmatro spreaders and small tools. Police were also in attendance at the incident as the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. Crews were in attendance approximately one hour and twenty minutes and a joint investigation is now underway.
