One fire engine from Blackburn attended a fire involving one car off the roadway which was well alight when firefighters arrived at the scene. The fire was extinguished using two hose reels, breathing apparatus and a dry powder extinguisher. The car was completely destroyed by the fire and there were a further two vehicles affected by heat damage. The fire is thought to have been started deliberately, so an investigation is now underway.
