At 14:16 on the 9th December, one fire engine from Blackburn attended a vehicle fire located on Harcourt Road in Blackburn. The fire involved a van that was well alight when crews arrived. Firefighters used two hose reels, one breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, a triple extension ladder and small tools to bring the fire under control. Crews were in attendance for approximately forty five minutes.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.
