At 16:13 on 7th June, one fire engine from South Shore attended a vehicle fire on Preston New Road, Westby-with-Plumptons, Blackpool. The incident involved one car that was well alight on the roadway. Firefighters used one hose reel and one breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire before damping down the vehicle. They were in attendance for twenty minutes.
