Firefighters from Nelson were called to reports of a vehicle on fire in the early hours on Richard Street, Brierfield. The fire involved the engine compartment of a vehicle which was on the roadway. Crews quickly extinguished the fire using one breathing apparatus and one hose reel. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
