Firefighters from Padiham and Nelson attended reports of a fire involving a vehicle near a sandwich van on the Padiham bypass. The incident involved a heavy goods vehicle which was well alight when firefighters arrived at the scene. They used one hose reel and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance approximately 50 minutes and there were no casualties reported.
