At 14:56 on the 3rd May 2022, two fire engines from Hyndburn and Burnley fire stations attended a vehicle fire on the A56 Hapton, Burnley. The incident involved one vehicle that was well alight on the roadside when the crew arrived. Firefighters used a hose reel, thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
