Firefighters from Garstang were called to reports of a fire involving double decker bus on Lancaster New Road, Cabus, Preston.The fire involved the braking system on the bus and was confined to the front nearside wheel. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel and thermal imaging camera. Firefighters also assisted in offering first aid to the driver of the vehicle prior to the arrival of ambulance crews at the scene. Firefighters were in attendance approximately 50 minutes.
