Firefighters from Bamber Bridge and Penwortham were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Lanedale in Longton. The fire involved a van on the roadway which was well alight when firefighters arrived at the scene. Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reels and were in attendance approximately one hour.
