Firefighters from Ormskirk were called to reports of a car on fire in Bickerstaffe. When they arrived they found the vehicle well alight on the roadway. They extinguished the fire using one hose reel and breathing apparatus. Once the scene was made safe the incident was then left in the hands of the Highways Agency.
