At 14:11 on 26th February, two fire engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall attended a vehicle fire on Downham Avenue, Rossendale. The incident involved a road sweeping vehicle that had set alight. Firefighters used four hose reels, a fog spike, a triple extension ladder, a thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish the fire. Crews then worked to make the scene safe and were in attendance for two hours.
