At 18:29 on 23 September, one fire engine from Rawtenstall attended a vehicle fire on Bacup Road, Rossendale. The incident involved one vehicle that was well alight when the crew arrived. Firefighters used two hose reels, one breathing apparatus, and a hooligan tool to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for forty minutes.
