Three fire engines from Wesham, Fulwood, and South Shore responded to a vehicle fire on the westbound lanes of the M55, between Junction 2 and 3.
Firefighters used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to successfully put out the fire and remained at the scene for around 30 minutes.
