Fire crews from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended a vehicle fire on the M65 motorway, westbound. The fire involved a vehicle on the hard shoulder between junction 7 and 8. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire and they were in attendance around 35 minutes.
