At 18:41 on the 28th September 2023, two fire engines from Burnley and Hyndburn attended a vehicle fire on the M65 West between Junction 10 and 9. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for forty minutes.
