At 13:47 on 8th June, two fire engines from Darwen and Hyndburn attended a waste fire on Preston New Road, Blackburn. The fire involved a quantity of waste outside the rear of a property. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel. No casualties were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
