At 14:16 on 26th August, three fire engines from Blackburn and Hyndburn attended a waste fire on Maircourt Avenue, Blackburn. The incident involved a quantity of waste behind a domestic property and also affected the exterior of the building. Firefighters used one hose reel, a ceiling hook, a triple extension ladder, and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported. Crews were in attendance for fifty minutes.
