Two fire engines from Rawtenstall and Preston, a boat from Preston and the aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn were called to rescue a person in water just off Bacup Road, Rawtenstall. Firefighters were at the scene for 35 minutes and managed to rescue the person who was later treated by paramedics.
