Six fire engines and specialist wildfire appliances from Lancashire and Greater Manchester were called to a wildfire off Blackburn Road, Turton. Firefighters used tactical burn back equipment, aqua leaders, beaters and air blowers to extinguish the fire which covered approximately 30 hectares. No injuries were reported.
