Firefighters from South Shore and Blackpool were called to reports of a fire at a property on Lytham Road, Blackpool. The caller reported seeing flames coming through a skylight and so an aerial ladder platform was also mobilised to attend. On arrival firefighters found a three storey building well alight and began tackling the fire using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets. A further two fire engines were called to assist in bring the fire under control bringing the number of fire engines at the scene to four and one aerial ladder platform and supporting crew. Firefighters are currently still in attendance and a road closure is currently in place.
