At 17:39hrs, firefighters from Fulwood tackled a chimney fire at a house on Cadley Causeway in Preston. The fire involved a wood burning stove and flu liner. Firefighters extinguished the fire using some small tools, fan unit and hose reel. They were in attendance around forty minutes.
