At 20:33 on the 9th June 2020 two fire engines from Padiham and Great Harwood attended a chimney fire on Whins Lane in Read. The fire service used one thermal imaging camera, one triple extension ladder and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property. The fire service were engaged at this incident for one hour and fifteen minutes.
