Fire crews from Hyndburn were called to reports of a fire in a kitchen of a domestic property on Coppice Avenue, Accrington. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel and small tools to extinguish the fire. There were five casualties reported at the incident who were taken to hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation. Firefighters were in attendance approximately forty minutes.
