At 14:57hrs, four fire engines responded to a fire on Aqueduct Street in Preston. The fire involved a derelict commercial premises, consisting of three floors. The fire was located on the first floor and was quickly brought under control. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one house reel, triple extension ladder and some small tools to put the fire out. As of 16:05:hrs firefighters had extinguished the fire, but remained in attendance damping down and checking for remaining hot spots. They were in attendance around three hours in total.
