Six fire engines from Bacup, Rawtenstall, Haslingden, Blackburn, Hyndburn, the Aerial Ladder Platform from Hyndburn and the stinger from Blackburn attended a fire involving a derelict church on Brandwood Road in Stacksteads, Bacup. The fire consisted of two floors approximately 40m by 20m. Firefighters used two aerial monitors, the stinger and a handheld jet to extinguish the fire. Crews also damped down the fire and monitor hotspots, they were in attendance for several hours.
