Two fire engines from Darwen and Blackburn were called to a building fire on Cavendish Street in Darwen. On arrival, crews discovered a fire in the bedroom of a domestic property and used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and one positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire and clear smoke. Crews were in attendance for approximately three and a half hours.
