Two fire engines and crews from Blackburn responded to a fire involving a grill pan in the kitchen of a house on Notre Dame Gardens in Blackburn. No-one was trapped in the fire but a man had inhaled smoke and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hosereel jet and used a portable fan unit to extract smoke from the house.
