Three fire engines from St Anne’s, South Shore and Blackpool attended an incident on Harcourt Road in Blackpool. The fire involved some paper on a kitchen hob and was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation unit. Firefighters treated one casualty who was suffering with the effects of smoke inhalation. Crews handed the casualty over in to the care of North West Ambulance Service and were in attendance for around an hour and 15 minutes.
