Resources for children during lockdown

We’re sure there is lots to juggle with work life now enroaching on home life and keeping the little’uns entertained must be a daily challange. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service would like to help and have some colouring resources you can print out (see bottom of page) and hopefully occupy your children for an hour or so!

There is also the Frances the Firefly online story which can be read here or even stories read by two of our firefighters. Listen to Cloughy’s story and Sue’s story as they take you on a tour of the fire station and hear about a troublesome little dragon!

Some of our partners are also making resources available and you can find some activities from the RLSS here as well as lots of info on the Visit Lancashire page.

And here is a fun time capsule activity for kids too.

You can also have a go at ‘spotting the dangers’ in this virtual house by following the link here.

And for anyone concerned about staying fire safe in the home during isolation there are some kids resources here or more information by following this link.

If your child is struggling to understand why we’re in isolation this guide may help as well as the video below.

If your children end up doing some colouring don’t forget to tag us in their artworks on either facebook, twitter or instagram – we’d love to see them!
