Three fire engines from Burnley and Nelson attended a fire at a domestic property on Highfield Avenue in Burnley. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. One person sadly died in this incident and our thoughts are with their loved ones at this terrible time. Working jointly with Lancashire Police it has been determined that the fire was not suspicious however investigations into the cause continue.
