At 19:13hrs, three fire crews from Bacup and Rawtenstall responded to a house fire on Edgemoor Close in Shawforth. The fire involved the kitchen of the property and a chip pan. Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and put the fire out using a hose reel. One person received oxygen therapy from firefighters before attending hospital fo precautionary checks. Firefighters were in attendance around one hour.
