At 16:43 on the 18th August 2023, two fire engines from Ormskirk, Tarleton and a fire engine from Southport from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended a outbuilding fire on Vicarage Lane, Banks. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two main jets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for two hours and twenty minutes.
