After Storm Ciara hit the county yesterday, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is advising the public to take care this afternoon when a snow and ice yellow weather warning comes into effect.
Stay safe both on the roads and at home whilst trying to keep warm using our snow and cold weather advice.
Between 7am and 5pm on Sunday, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service received 407 calls of which 210 were flood related and 19 were related to the high winds.
Incidents that we attended included vehicles trapped in flood water, electrical damage due to properties flooding me and dangerous structures.
As the day progresses the weather is expected to turn colder and snow and ice are expected to hit, particularly, the eastern part of the county.
Further advice will be issued during the day.
