At 10:22 on 04 April, two fire engines from Barnoldswick and Darwen, together with a water incident unit and accompanying appliance from Preston, attended a water rescue on Kelbrook Road, Barnoldswick. One casualty was rescued from the docks using a longboard and was then transferred to the hospital. Crews were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.
