Fire crews from Longridge and Darwen alongside the water incident unit from Preston attended an incident on Church Street, Ribchester. There were two casualties stranded on an island in the middle of the river who needed rescuing by two swift water rescue technicians in a sled. Firefighters were in attendance approximately forty minutes.
