Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is now recruiting Wholetime Apprentice Firefighters for a potential start date of 9 January 2023.

The latest closing date for applications will be 12 noon Wednesday 10 August 2022, or earlier if a significant number of applications are received.

We are looking for people who want to make a positive difference, who are adaptable; able to respond to emergency situations, deliver fire prevention activity and demonstrate empathy and support to the vulnerable people we come into contact with.

In accordance with our commitment to our equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, we’re actively encouraging applications from women, members of Lancashire’s minority ethnic communities and the LGBTQ+ community.  These groups are under-represented in our organisation, and we want to reflect the diversity of our communities, in order to deliver the best service possible to the people of Lancashire.

The recruitment process is challenging, and we only appoint candidates who perform at the highest level.

This is an opportunity to join an organisation identified as a workplace with an outstanding workplace culture; we offer inclusive employment policies, comprehensive development, free car parking, a Firefighters Pension Scheme, an employee assistance programme, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, and access to workplace gym facilities and the facilities provided by The Fire Fighters Charity.
