Six fire engines from Bacup, Rawtenstall and Manchester, the wildfire burn team from Bacup and a number of specialist vehicles attended a wildfire at Cowm Park Way North, Whitworth, Rochdale. An area of approximately 9 hectares of moorland was affected and the wildfire burn team created fire breaks and carried out controlled burning, supported by firefighters using beaters, to extinguish the fire.
