Firefighters were called to a assist with rescuing a horse which had got into difficulty in a field near Back Lane, Baxenden, Accrington. Crews from Hyndburn and Nelson attended and used a spreader bar alongside a farmer’s JCB to get the horse to its feet. The horse was then left in the care of a vet at the scene. Crews were in attendance approximately two hours.
