At 10:16 on 13 December, two fire engines from Nelson and Colne attended an animal rescue on East Burwains Avenue, Foulridge, Colne. The incident involved a dog that was stuck on an icy reservoir. Firefighters used a sled and line rescue equipment to rescue the animal. They were in attendance for an hour.
