Fire crews were from Chorley were called to assist the owner, occupier of a narrow boat near Kenyon Lane, Heapy, Chorley. The boat was semi-submerged when firefighters arrived and still taking on water. The occupier was off the boat and firefighters used a pump to help remove the water from the vessel until it was sufficiently afloat that it could be moved to a safer location. Crews were in attendance approximately three and a half hours.
