Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Service Fitness Advisor to lead, plan, and deliver our Fitness Policy, ensuring the health, wellbeing, and operational readiness of our staff. In this role, you will organise and support the structured Annual Fitness Assessments for all operational personnel, while also promoting health and wellbeing initiatives across the Service. You will be expected to work flexibly to support operational staff on all duty systems and collaborate with both internal and external partners.
Additionally, you will coordinate Service PTIs to ensure consistency of working practices, oversee the procurement, maintenance, and servicing of fitness equipment and participate in meetings, working groups, and project teams as required.
You will advise on policy matters relating to physical fitness, produce relevant documentation, maintain and report on fitness data, including the creation of action plans and programmes to help staff who need to develop their fitness.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced fitness professional who is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in a dynamic environment. You should have excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to motivate others, and experience in delivering and evaluating fitness assessments and health promotion. You must also be able attend evenings and weekend meetings and events as required for the role.
