Firefighters from Rawtenstall were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall. When they arrived they found the lounge area of the property slightly smoke logged and upon investigation found the incident involved a microwave in the kitchen. Firefighters assisted a casualty out of the property. Firefighters used a ventilation unit to clear the property of smoke and the casualty received a precautionary check up from ambulance crews at the scene. Crews were in attendance approximately 45 minutes.
