At 02:53 on 04 October, two fire engines from Burnley, together with a stringer appliance from Skelmersdale, attended a derelict building fire on Railway Street, Burnley. The incident involved a derelict building approximately 20x40m in size, consisting of three floors. Firefighters used two main jets and the stinger appliance to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for approximately four and a half hours.
