Firefighters from Burnley were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Emily Street, Burnley. On arrival they found a fire in the kitchen involving the cooker. Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel and ventilation unit to bring the fire under control. Firefighters were in attendance approximately fifty minutes and no casualties were reported.
