Firefighters from Darwen attended reports of a fire at a domestic property on Redvers Road, Darwen. The property was smoke logged on arrival and upon investigation firefighters found that the smoke was coming from a washing machine in the property. Crews used a ventilation unit, thermal imaging camera and a tool kit to assess the scene and make it safe. They were in attendance approximately 20 minutes and there were no casualties reported.
