Fire crews from Lancaster and Morecambe were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Scotforth Road, Lancaster. On arrival firefighters found the fire located in the basement of the property involving a tumble dryer. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. There was one casualty at the incident who received first aid from firefighters prior to the arrival of ambulance crews. They were taken to hospital via ambulance for precautionary checks for suspected smoke inhalation. Crews were in attendance approximately one hour and five minutes.
