At 16:07 on Tuesday 18th August 2026, two fire engines from Blackpool and Fleetwood attended Grange Road, Poulton-le-Fylde. The incident involved rescuing two cows from a pond in which they had become stuck. Fire service personnel used swift water rescue equipment to rescue the cows and bring the incident to a close. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
