At 16:58 on 20th May 2025, two fire engine from Fleetwood and Blackpool attended an incident involving a cow stuck in mud on River Wyre. Firefighters used three Stationary Rope Technique (SRT) strop slings and strop guide to rescue the cow. Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours.
