At 13:29 on 19 March 2026, two fire engines from Preston attended a fire on New Barn Mews, Samlesbury. The fire involved a wooden bin compound and garden fencing. Fire crews used one hose reel, reciprocating saw and triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance approximately thirty minutes.
